Currently, the PPGCA has the following areas of concentration and lines of research:

I – Area of Concentration: Surgery, Animal pathology, and Medical clinic (CiPAC)

Lines of Research: 1. Clinic, image diagnostics, and pathology in the health of pets and wild animals. 2. Health and genetics in production animals. 3. Experimental techniques and models in clinic, surgery, and anesthesiology. 4.  Experimental and compared pathobiology and animal morpho-physiology;

II - Area of Concentration: Animal Health, Technology, and Food safety (SaTS)

Lines of Research: 1. Parasitology and parasitic diseases in pets, production and wild animals. 2. Epidemiology, diagnostic and control of infectious diseases. 3. Unique health: man, animal and environment. 4. Food safety. Technology and inspection of food.
