Veterinary Animal Science Postgraduate Program (PPGCA) of the Veterinary and Animal Science School (EVZ) at the Federal University of Goiás (UFG)

Course certified with concept five (5) Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), a foundation of the Ministry of Education (MEC) of the Brazilian Government, in a scale of seven (7) grades.

Veterinary Animal Science Postgraduate Program is a pioneer program in offering stricto sensu in the Midwest of Brazil. This region is remarkable for having a small number of graduation programs, especially when compared to other regions in Brazil. The PPGCA arose from the joint efforts of several teachers from the School of Veterinary and Zootechny of the Universidade Federal de Goiás (EVZ/UFG) to generate more knowledge and scientific progress for the region. It was created in 1995 with the name of Master’s Program in Veterinary Medicine. In 2002, the program had its name changed to Graduation Program in Animal Sciences, thus beginning the Doctorate course.
